I remember the times when i rocked prowings and guess jeans
when i used to beg for Jordans and my gram said "we poor hun!"
i wanted Nikes and music my whole life,
so i sold my lunch tickets at school and did people trife
my bike broke from leaving it in the rain and rusted
and every time my father dressed me i looked fuckin BUSTED!
i used to bootleg candy in the back of my 5th grade class
just to have a brand name cover my ass
when i bought "yo! bum rush the show"
i had to walk 3 miles to Fred Meyers in the SNOW!!!!
i hated rakin leaves in that big ass yard
id rock some neon leggins lookin like a fuckin retard!!!
at 12 id hide that i was wearin a bra under a big ass sweatshirt
walkin away from an insane bike accident like that shyt aint hurt
i member opening a pair of Reeboks on my birthday and cried
because that whole week i thought some Jordan VIII's were inside
on the way to school id see the flags of our world's coke snorters
and i always dreamed as i stared at the bridge "someday ill work at Nike headquarters!"
at Beaverton transit center i got punched to the concrete..
and all i could worry about when the cops harrassed me, "hey am i beeding on my feet?"
i was only 15 and was decked in my cousin's adidas
half a year later the judge decided i had to move with my mom....in VEGAS:-/
in 97 i ran track and bitches hated on me the worst
cause i always came to practice in the previous year Bursts
eh but i told em all to go to hell
and did stretches with my boy that rocked mis matched XII's
at highschool graduation i felt so out of place
second time in heels and i almost fell flat on my face...
moral of this story kinda afflicts
never come between a broke girl and her kicks!
