Gravis Black Box Tour
Gravis and Stash recently set out on a world tour to launch the Gravis Black Box collection, their exclusive collaboration for Spring/Summer '06. Teaming up for Gravis' limited-release series, Gravis and Stash created a line of progressively colored and detailed shoes, luggage, bags, and accessories. For the collection, Stash created an exclusive Gravis purple camouflage, which was custom embroidered on every piece in the line.
To unveil the highly anticipated collaboration, launch events were held in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, where Stash aficionados, media, and celebrities gathered for an intimate in-store event followed by a jump-off afterparty. At each stop, Gravis created a build-out, showcasing the product line and utilizing the purple Stash camo print-as wallpaper, window treatments, and printed canvases. All party attendees were given limited-run purple camo T-shirts and matchboxes made exclusively for the event.
The tour started in Stash's hometown of NYC, where an in-house event at his store, Recon/Nort, kicked off the night. The crowd packed into the store where they sipped on free Sapporo and Vitamin Water while Stash spent his time greeting everyone and taking photos on his digi camera. The party flowed over to SoHo 323 where a private dinner was held for the Gravis and Recon crew and moved to late night at the upstairs bar.
On the left coast, the Black Box launch party was held at Melrose Ave.'s piece of NY-Brooklyn Projects. A mix of NY transplants and LA scenesters bumped to beats by DJ Steve Aoki Kid Millionaire. Gravis riders Kalani Robb, Benji Weatherly, Romain De Marchi, and J.P. Solberg came out to celebrate and held down the afterparty at Nacional in Hollywood.
Tokyo launched the final event with a private gathering at the Harajuku Gravis store and a banging party following at Space Force in Meguro-Ku. Stash entertained the crowd by signing everything from T-shirts and bags to women's body parts. Friend and long-time Gravis collaborator, Hiroshi Fujiwara was also there to help represent.

adicolor in NY's Chinatown
Adidas opens adicolor Chinatown, a hidden, private showroom that will serve as adicolor headquarters for the next two weeks in the midst of the infamous Canal Street vendors.
Visitors will only be provided an address for a “front” at 267 Canal Street where they will meet a dispatcher (Vinnie - the guy wearing head-to-toe adidas) who will clue them in to the location of the showroom. Like the counterfeit vendors, official adicolor “merchants” will communicate on radios to lure select visitors and lead guests to the actual location where this underground haven will exist.
adicolor Chinatown will be open for viewing from March 18th-31st during the hours of 1pm to 7pm. Highlights from the adicolor 2006 collection will be on display for the first time in the US, including collaborations with Peter Saville, Jim Lambie for the Hideout, Surface to Air, Dark Horse Comics, J-Money for Dave’s Quality Meat, Cey Adams, Twist for Huf, Panini, Emilio Pucci, VICE, Fafi, Claude Closky for colette and Keith Haring & Jeremy Scott. Guests of adicolor Chinatown will receive a special gift and information on where to buy the adicolor collection.
