PUMA has teamed up with Bloomindale's to present you with A Night of Art, Fashion, Culture, Sport, and Social Consciousness.

WHAT:
This event is to celebrate the publication of "THE AFRICAN GAME." and will feature an art gallery style Photo exhibit and excerpts from "THE AFRICAN GAME" book.

"THE AFRICAN GAME is a book that takes an indebt look at the worlds most popular sport; Soccer!
Soccer is an integral part of local cultures across the world. It is something so positive that it brings smiles to children's faces even in the worst of circumstances. In most places simply arriving at a field with a soccer ball will win you instant friendships and immediate access into a local community. Soccer teams and leagues are ubiquitous structures in even the most impoverished areas. And professional soccer players are heroes to the kids who watch them play- imagine Michael Jordan, if basketball was all anybody watched!

The Purpose of the book is to bring light to a big problem around the world.
It's not all about soccer. Grassroot Soccer's mission is to mobilize the global soccer community in the fight against HIV/AIDS. We have developed an internationally recognized HIV prevention curriculum that uses soccer players and the game itself to teach awareness about the disease, critical life skills, and prevention strategies to young people.
