URBAN PLASTIC by Toofly

Toofly’s customized works began appearing in various group shows early this year. As the only female member of MOTUG. Toofly was given the opportunity to showcase her individual style on urban vinyl that varied in size, shape, and form. Toofly’s first plastic work was to customize an NYC train. It was created for a group show called TAG THE SYSTEM held at the Showroom Gallery in NYC. It featured over 170 artists including graffiti legends of the 80’s NYC subway era. Toofly’s train was one of the three graffiti females in this show, and shared the spotlight alongside Lady Pink on the spread of April’s 2005 Juxtapoze magazine.

Toofly has since gone on to customize more plastic including a pitt bull for a show called Brooklyn, and a the new Trexi custom series by Play Imaginative due for a gallery show in March 2006. The latest of a series to come is Toofly’s first limited collectible figure called Qee. Created by Toy2R in collaboration with the Motug Crew. It’s 2.5” size is in no comparison to Toofly’s growing popularity. Men and women of all ages are excited about collecting all these wonderful artist’s work. Don’t miss out!

Toofly continues to pave the way as one of today’s leading female artists to watch out for. Staying true to her graffiti roots her work continues to draw from the ever-changing and spontaneous public art world.
