Remixing the Magic @ Gallery1988

Gallery1988 is proud to announce "Remixing the Magic" with over 50 artists reinterpreting Disney classic characters and scenes.

Whether it’s the timeless group of Disney feature films, the icons of Disney Heritage or the memorable animated shorts of yesteryear, the Walt Disney tradition has done its share of grooming and developing the emerging young artist’s craft, without even trying. "Remixing the Magic" will prove that Walt Disney still acts as an invisible teacher to the established artist, as well as the up and comer, as more than 50 artists of varying recognition will pay tribute to his creations by painting their own depiction of scenes from the Disney Classic era. Whether it’s a new take on "Dumbo" or a hip rendition of Gepetto in his workshop, breathing new life into these masterpieces would make for an unforgettable event, as well as a reminder of the cultural and epic significance of the Disney brand.

This show will feature the artwork of Kii Arens, Anthony Ausgang, Tim Biskup, Ryan Bubnis, Sean Christopher, Luke Chueh, Bob Dob, Sandra Equihua, Jose Emroca Flores, David Flores, Blaine Fontana, Frank Gonzales, Ryan Greis, Peter Gronquist, Thomas Han, Ahren Hertel, Wilson Hsu, Mr. Jago, Aaron Jasinski, Alex Kirwan, Dennis Larkins, Joe Ledbetter, Lola, Jim Mahfood, Jeff McMillan, Brandi Milne, Miss Van, Mister Chung, Tony Mora, Martin Ontiveros, Daniel Peacock, Brandt Peters, Isaac Pierro, Andrew Pommier, Brooke Reidt, Lesley Reppetaux, Katie Rice, Chris Roth, Jason Sho Green, Greg Simkins, Soopajdelux, Jophen Stein, Gabe Swarr, Michelle Valigura, Amanda Visell, Trent Watanabe and Julie West.
