Gravis x Turntable Lab - The Ultimate DJ Bags
Gravis, the premium brand in action sports and Turntable Lab, the world-renowned DJ accessory supplier, have joined forces to create the ultimate DJ bags. Gravis and Turntable Lab collaborated on two unique DJ bags - the Money Gig Bag and Money Gig XL Roller to be sold exclusively through http://www.turntablelab.com/ and Turntable Lab's New York and Los Angeles boutiques. The collaboration started when Gravis was in the conceptual stages of development to create a premier DJ bag that would provide next-level storage, function and durability matched with innovative style. Collaboration meetings were held on in New York City and prototype bags were tested by DJs from both Gravis' and TTL's crews to ensure perfection.
"Turntable Lab is known as the first name in the world of deejaying, so it was an easy choice to collaborate on ideas with them that bring these bags to the level we're looking for," says Product Marketing Director, Anne-Marie Dacyshyn.
"We've always respected Gravis for their top designs and top quality. And since we saw a need in the market, we thought this was a perfect opportunity," says Turntable Lab Creative Director, Peter Hahn.
The result is 2 bags that provide ultimate storage systems for DJs. The first is the Money Gig Bag which intelligently holds records (12" & 7"), headphones, Rane Serato Scratch, CDs, needles, cords, laptops and more. The second is the Money Gig XL Roller that offers innovative features like an easy access detachable back panel that can be removed and used "crate-style." Additional features include a separate bag for 7" records, CDs and headphones, a padded Serato interface compartment and a built in CD case.
To help represent the bags, the collaboration is backed by two of Turntable Lab's close friends and top DJs - Mark Ronson and Blu Jemz. They will appear in ads in Fader, Vice, RE:UP and Vapors and will be using the bags at all their upcoming gigs. Look out for a launch event for the bags this January.
