The Birth of MUNNY

Kidrobot announces the release of Kidrobot’s first ever do-it-yourself-toy: MUNNY is the root of all happiness. A fool and his MUNNY are soon parted. MUNNY changes everything!

You can draw and paint on MUNNY. Use crayons, markers, paint, ketchup, glue, glitter, or anything else you can think of. Make clothes for MUNNY or things to put in his hands! Singe him, pierce him, drape him, cherish him. Each MUNNY includes 4 secret mystery accessories, a hello-my-name-is card, and one of several surprise MUNNY coloring books.

MUNNY is for adults and children alike, 7” tall and made of soft vinyl. MUNNY will be available November 3rd at all Kidrobot stores, on the web at www.kidrobot.com, and at select retailers. White MUNNY will retail for $24.95; Black and Glow MUNNY will be $29.95.

MUNNY was created by master toy designers Paul Budnitz & Tristan Eaton. Budnitz, artist, programmer, filmmaker, businessman, and Kidrobot founder, and Eaton, fine artist, graffiti artist, illustrator, and toy designer, have collaborated to produce the toy of choice for you, your friends, their kids, and their kids’ friends.

Rugged Art

RuggedArt is a new project, weaving together the fresh ideas of theunderground art scenes of New York and London, with the thousandyear old traditional techniques of Nepal. Founded by London based antique textile specialist Nat Turner, and collaborating with some of World's most exciting graphic artists,RuggedArt has launched a groundbreaking new collection of handknotted rugs, available in limited editions of ten.The rugs are made entirely by hand, using traditional skills in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. Knotted in hand-spun Tibetan wool, usingthe finest Swiss dyes, they are crafted to last a lifetime.

The concept of RuggedArt came to Nat through his knowledge of traditionaltextile art and his involvement in the New York and London street sceneThe explosion of graffiti and graphic design influence has created a newaesthetic and the time is right to create new pieces to reflect this shift.Instead of Ephemeral art on a wall, or hollow conceptual statement, RuggedArtrugs are a painting for your floor, a strikingly beautiful piece of furniture.
