Spider-man...Spider-man...It's the Ultimate Spider-man

Check out the new upcoming Spider-man game for the PS2. Titled Ultimate Spider-man, the game takes on a comic book looking aesthetic. I saw gameplay footage at E3 this past week and it's looks promising. Be on the lookout for it sometime this year.

Nochnoi Dozor (Night Watch) trailer

Saw this a while back in theaters and it looked interesting. It's been out in Russia for a while, so if you can't wait for the US release then you can buy the import DVD. It's the first chapter of a supposed epic fantasy trilogy. Not sure if it will flop or not, so you guys make the decision. If you've seen this trailer already, you can search for the Day Watch trailer which is part two.

Nintendo finalizes with Revolution

Well shortly after Sony's announcement of the PS3, Nintendo finally revealed what they had behind closed curtains. After all the speculation going on, Nintendo made it official that their new console will be called Nintendo Revolution.

Acoording to Nintendo, Revolution will be about the thickness of three standard DVD cases and only slightly longer. The versatile Revolution will play either horizontally or vertically, allowing the user total flexibility in setting up a gaming session wherever they have a television.

Although Nintendo has always opted using their own propriety media formats, they have opted for the more standardized medium, the DVD. If you're a loyal Nintendo fan, do not worry because the Revolution will be backward compatible in a revolutionary way, allowing all previous Nintendo console games to be played. According to Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, gamers will be able to download NES, Super NES, and N64 games. You can get every Nintendo game ever made. In addition to this, the Revolution will offer Wi-Fi online connection out of the box.

Pre E3 teaser

Here are a two screen caps of how the next gen games will look like. They're a little old, but still worth looking at. The first one is for Ghost Recon 3 and the second screen shot is of an upcoming game called 2 Days to Vegas. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Click on the links to view them enlarged.

Nintendo ON

What do you think?

Well, if you're not in love with it, don't worry because it's fake. I came across a mockup video of Nintendo's next gen system and I thought I would post a few screen caps. The surround sound headphones were cool though.

The Contender:The Next Human Drama???

I wouldn't consider that, but it's been enough to catch my attention. With only three boxers left out of the sixteen total, The Contender has me glued to the TV tube until the finale on the 24th. If you like boxing, but can't stand the slow rounds, check this out. Obviously, it's been cut to fit the time slot(I wouldn't also doubt if it's scripted), however, it's still pretty exciting seeing someone getting an uppercut to the chin and falling to the mat like a ragdoll. Check out the last two fights on NBC at 8pm.

Riveting Star Wars Episode 3 info

Since Star Wars is only 4 days away, I thought I'd post this to get you fans ready. Definitely not Yoda kicking ass with a light saber, but it's something to watch until midnight on Wednesday. Watch the short here.

Since I'm on this topic of Star Wars, I came across some interesting news involving the Grauman's Chinese Theater and Star Wars Episode Three. If you haven't heard already, Grauman's Chinese Theater has decided not to show the final Star Wars film. Unfortunately, some Star Wars fans who have been waiting in line since April 2nd are deeply disgruntled by this. Entitled the "Chinese or Death" campaign, fans have decided to hold a formal protest the night of the 18th in Hollywood to show their disapproval of the situation. If this news disheartens you and you would like to support the cause go here.

Xbox 360 debuts

I'm a little behind on this, but I thought I'd throw this up here for those who haven't seen the Xbox360 yet. The next gen wars have begun. Be on the lookout for the Sony PS3 also.

Apple & Sony teaming up???

Rumors have been going around that Apple may team up with Sony to integrate the iTunes and the iPod with the upcoming Playstation 3. Although this sounds like a long-shot, it may be possible sometime in the future considering that Sony has mentioned some sort of iTunes-like store. Nobody knows certain, but it's definitely something to hope for. Read more here.

On a sidenote, be on the lookout for PS3 info later this week at E3. Should be interesting to see if Sony debuts its next gen system since Xbox has released info on its Xbox360.

I've got control of the hostages...

For all you PS2 Socom fanatics that have a PSP, get ready to raheelaaa each other. Rumors were true afterall and Zipper Interactive will be releasing the Socom port for the Sony PSP. The handheld version, Socom:US Navy SEALS Fireteam Bravo, will be released sometime in the fall. By the looks of the screenshots, Zipper Interactive has done a pretty impressive job so far. Time will tell when veteran players finally get their hands on the game and test its playability due to the single analog nub. Other than that, should be interesting due to the fact that Zipper has announced that it will be playable online via wireless connection.

Mad Hot Ballroom!

I went to go check out Eros and came across the trailer for this new documentary, Mad Hot Ballroom. If you've seen Spellbound and enjoyed it, then you may want to go see this new film later this month. The documentary has made its way through the festival circuit and has caused a buzz amongst viewers.

Synopsis
Eleven-year-old New York City public school kids journey into the world of ballroom dancing and reveal pieces of themselves and their world along the way. Told from their candid, sometimes hilarious perspectives, these kids are transformed, from reluctant participants to determined competitors, from typical urban kids to "ladies and gentlemen", on their way to try to compete in the final city-wide competition.

Sony does it again (In Korea this time)

A little more than a month ago, Sony blessed us by releasing the Sony PSP to the general public in the US. Well, today marks the release date of the PSP for the Koreans. Not only do they get the PSP, but they are also getting a network utility disc to browse the web through service provider NESPOT. Browsing capabilities will allow Koreans access to certain channels including cartoons, e-books, movie clips, music, online gaming, and educational content. Anyway, I thought I'd post screen shots to make you fellow PSPers drool. Check them out.
