Guitar Hero to the rescue

Do you catch yourself playing the air guitar alone in the privacy of your own room? Well, no need for that anymore because Red Octane and Harmonix have answered with Guitar Hero.

Guitar Hero gives you all the excitement and thrill of being a rock star without leaving your home! Choose from multiple rock characters and jam at concert venues that grow in size as your rock career progresses! You'll start your rock career playing small clubs and bars, but if you play well you'll work your way up to stadiums and arenas.
The songs in Guitar Hero are straight out of a rock fan's CD or record collection. Over 30 incredible rock anthems fill every stage of the game. Songs as made famous by such legendary artists as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Bowie, Boston, Sum 41, Ozzy Osbourne, Audioslave, White Zombie, Franz Ferdinand, and The Ramones are featured.
I managed to pick up a copy of the game with the guitar and must admit it is purely addicting. The guitar is as realistic as you could hope for. Though it's not true to size(downsized about 25%), the guitar has five frets, a clicker to act as the strings, and a working whammy bar. With the guitar, you'll be able to play different chords, and perform hammers and pulloffs. For those who have no experience playing an actual guitar, no need to worry. The game has four different level difficulties, easy utilizing only three frets and expert incorporating all five frets to play variety of chords.
As stated above, the game has an incredible soundtrack featuring old and new artists such as Megadeth, The Ramones, and Franz Ferdinand. With over 30 rock hits, the game should last a good amount of time. Trust me on this one. If you're into music or have ever wanted to become a rock star, you will enjoy this game. What more can you ask for when you can bust out More Than a Feeling by Boston??? If you won't take my advice for it, take Joan Jett's word.
