God of War Hits the Big Screen

For all you PS2 fans of the smash hit God of War, Variety, the entertainment industry's journal, has announced the Universal Pictures has secured the films rights to Sony's blockbuster hit. Although there is no director and writer in mind yet for the adaptation, Mosaic Media Group's Charles Roven and Alex Gartner will produce the feature.
For those that have never heard of the game, God of War tells the story of a Spartan bloke named Kratos. In the opening cinema, God of War shows Kratos hurling himself down a mountain because the gods of Olympus have abandoned him. You get to play the game and learn what made Kratos switch from a brutally efficient mass murderer to a suicidal cliff diver. Given to you by the gods, your mission is to find Pandora's Box to kill that pesky and titular god of war, Ares.
