What is the concept for this album?
The concept for the Insomnia mixtape is showcasing a day in my life, and all
the things that I'm responsible for, as a husband, father, educator, emcee,
and community leader. Basically I don't get much sleep, thus the title
INSOMNIA! This project features collabos and exclusives from my next album,
"While You Were Sleeping", which will come out as soon as I get some proper
fu$%ing distribution!!

Describe your musical style, who influenced you?
All of our hip hop legends, too many to name here, but also a lot of the
other cats like Mos, Common, Beanie Sigel, Jay, Nas, Wu-tang, Outkast, De La
Soul, Jaydee, Madlib, MF Doom. Everybody!

Describe your general stlye, what influences you?
Life experiences, conversations, politics, sex, other artists, beats,
honesty in songwriting...

Do have any other hidden talents that the world doesn't know about?
I'm a Director of a special education high school here in DC, and am the
founder of my arts organization, Guerilla Arts Ink, LLC

Hip Hop overseas is...APPRECIATED MORE THAN HIP HOP IS IN THE STATES

Hip hop in the states is...OVERSATURATED

Besides hip-hop, I listen to...JAZZ, REGGAE, WORLDBEAT, SOUL MUSIC, AND
OCCASIONAL RnB RADIO BULLSHIT

Production vs performing..I PREFER PERFORMING

Right now I am working on MY ALBUM, A DISTRIBUTION DEAL, AND ENTERING A
DOCTORAL PROGRAM AT UPENN THIS SUMMER

To ease my mind I INHALE AND EXHALE

I collect...COFFEE MUGS FROM EVErY CITY/COUNTRY I'VE TRAVELED TO

The shoes on my feet are...MOST LIKELY NEW BALANCE

My favorite city to perform at is..AMSTERDAM, HOLLAND

Every weekend I...REST AND MAKE SOME TIME FOR MYSELF

The weirdest thing that ever happened to me/us during a show was when...IN
VIENNA, AUSTRIA THE POWER KEPT CUTTING OUT ON ME DURING MY PERFORMANCE,
UNTIL FINALLY ON MY LAST SONG I THREW THE MIC DOWN AND FINISHED MY LAST SONG
SCREAMING AT THE CROWD WITH NO MIC.

The city of WASHINGTON, DC has the hottest girls. (Ask anybody!)

Michael Jackson is...A TORTURED GENIUS, and HOPEFULLY FOUND NOT GUILTY
